**December 2024: This package includes hardware for Associated, Mugen, Tekno, Kyosho. MIP Bypass1 5 hole pistons, the rear pistons marked "R" are pre-drilled (5x1.5, 2 tiny), Fronts marked "F" are drilled (5x1.4, 2 tiny) as the 7 HOLE SMOOTH drilling **
The Schelle 16mm XTR piston lineup was developed in 2024 with Kurt Wenger's Schelle custom valving utilizing the proven MIP Bypass1 platform. The pistons, made in Covina, CA at MIP, are a custom spec design that is not available anywhere else. Piston O.D. and 2.5mm thickness is based on the "H" Hi-Flow profile. The unique Bypass1 system was the perfect way to add extra tuning to the rebound stroke of the shock and improve jumping, prevent wheel hop, all while keeping the vehicles smooth and predictable in turns. Racers can use MIP's patented Bypass1 system with colored valves to fine tune the rebound speed engineered to work in a wide range of conditions and take full advantage over the Xtra Tune-able Rebound (XTR!) of the system.
The heart of the design is the signature Schelle 5 hole bump valvings, based on tuning a base 5 hole piston (1.4F, 1.5R). In 2024, Kurt and the team expanded the options going up and down in pack a tiny step from the standard baseline.... adding 2 new options to fine tune for smooth tracks as well as un-groomed outdoors.
Look for SKUs ending in:
SCH1532-STD for standard drilling (good all around 5 hole)
SCH1532-7HS for smooth groomed tracks, where more pack adds stability as traction comes up (increased pack, improved over large jumps, reduced loose track grip)
SCH1532-OUT for outdoor ungroomed, holes are drilled larger, and a 6th tiny hole in front added (reduced pack for bumps, reduced flat landing stability, increased grip)

Testimonial:
"The first time I ran the prototypes, I was amazed at the improvements in grip and stability in bumpy turns. Also the jump faces and landings, the car was so settled and stable. I knew we had a winner" - Kurt Wenger, Schelle, Associated driver
